Personal Training vs. Semi-Private Training
A question that’s been asked forever… and a really important one.
Let’s break down the key differences so you can decide what’s right for you.
Personal Training
There are two big things that stand out here.
First—specific goals.
If you’re chasing something very targeted—your first pull-up, running a faster mile, rehabbing an injury, or working around limitations—this is your lane. Everything is built around you.
Second—the one-on-one experience.
Let’s be honest… sometimes the world just feels like a little too much. Personal training gives you a private setting, full attention, and space for real conversations without distractions.
Semi-Private Training
Energy.
This is the biggest difference.
There’s just something different about training with others—the music’s up, the vibe is strong, and everyone’s pushing. It’s hard to replicate that kind of intensity on your own.
Availability.
Personal training tends to book out about a week in advance. If your schedule isn’t flexible, it can be tough to lock in consistent sessions.
Semi-private sessions cap at 4 people, and right now, there’s almost always availability—even later in the week.
Price.
This is a big one. Personal training is nearly double the cost.
If your goal is weight loss or general fitness, semi-private allows you to come more often—which usually means better results.
At the end of the day, both options work. It just depends on what you need right now.
